Kitchen Margin helps owner-operators keep item costs current and trace changes back to their inputs and source documents. The interface is available in English and Korean.
SET UP YOUR COSTS
Start with one menu item or an optional Coffee bar or Bar template. Enter what you buy—pack size and purchase price—then the amount needed for each serving. Template amounts are editable suggestions; actual purchase prices are required. Selling price is optional. Costs include entered ingredients and packaging; labor and overhead are separate.

Review saved item cost changes, items above your chosen cost target and this month's recorded totals. Follow item and source links to investigate the changes.
REPORTS FOR OWNER QUESTIONS
Open All reports for Sales & purchases, Item sales, Menu pricing, Ingredient prices and Measured waste. Monthly reports cover all stations and show their period and data coverage. Menu pricing uses current costs and selling prices with its own station selection.
TRY AN EXAMPLE MENU
Explore coffee, bar and restaurant demos with calculated costs, price changes and reports. Recipes, purchase prices and operating records are modeled. Loading a demo saves a complete local backup before replacing the current kitchen.
KEEP THE WORK CONNECTED
Reuse preparations, use familiar units and combine production sheets. Optional stations organize items while ingredients, purchases and sales remain shared.
RECORD WHAT YOU KNOW
Enter daily net sales and purchase totals manually, or record optional measured waste with its saved cost basis. A manual sales total has no item mix, so the recipe-mix comparison remains unavailable for that report. Purchase totals do not update ingredient prices. Measured waste records contain only entered measurements; they do not measure total waste or net profit. The app does not connect to a POS or maintain inventory counts.
KEEP THE SOURCE CLOSE
Review saved documents, invoice impacts, and captured recipe revisions. An allergen matrix brings together ingredient declarations and review status. Always verify supplier information and kitchen procedures before serving.
OPTIONAL MONTHLY CAPTURE
Kitchen Margin Capture unlocks new photo recognition for supplier invoices, sales reports, and recipe cards. Recognition runs on your device and can read Korean text and KRW amounts; uncertain values need manual review. Check dates, pack quantities, unit prices and totals against the source before saving; recognition can make mistakes. Manual costing, production planning, saved documents and reviews, the allergen matrix, and complete backup exports remain free. Expiry preserves your library and saved or in-progress reviews.
LOCAL BY DESIGN
No app account is required. Kitchen records and source photos stay on your device unless you export them or include them in device backups. There is no developer cloud sync or automatic backup service. Optional usage diagnostics are stored locally and leave the app only when you choose to share them.
Kitchen Margin Capture is an auto-renewing one-month subscription. Eligible US customers receive a 3-day free introductory trial, then $19.99 per month. Apple determines eligibility; one introductory offer is available per subscription group. Payment is charged to your Apple Account after the trial, or at confirmation if you are not eligible. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial or current period ends. Manage or cancel it in your Apple subscription settings.
