Exact range vs range equity where it can be counted, seeded Monte Carlo where it cannot. Up to six players, all 1,755 flops. A study tool: no account, no network.
Axis is a Texas Hold'em equity and range calculator for study and hand review: hand vs hand, hand vs range and range vs range, for up to six players.
Give each player a hand or a range, set a board, and press Run. When a spot can be counted exactly, Axis counts every combination against every runout and labels the result Exact. A range vs range flop of about 5.4 million showdowns finished in 0.32 seconds on an Apple silicon Mac. When a spot is too big to count, preflop for example, Axis runs a seeded Monte Carlo sample, shows how many showdowns it used, and returns the same number for the same inputs every time.
EVERY FLOP AT ONCE
The Flops workspace sets the board aside and runs every range across all 1,755 distinct flops. Group and filter them by suit, pairing, connectivity, high card, and how wet or dynamic they are, then send any flop back to the board to study it.
RANGES THE WAY YOU WRITE THEM
Type JJ+, AQs+, A5s-A2s, KQo or AhKs. Weight part of a range with 50%(QQ+) and the result changes with it. Or paint on the 13x13 grid with a 25, 50, 75 or 100 percent brush; the grid and the text stay in sync. Build a top-percent range ranked by all-in equity, Sklansky–Malmuth groups or Chen score, subtract hands, start from an opening range by position, and save the ranges you use.
READ THE RANGE
Every hand in the grid shaded by its equity. The range's equity distribution. A table of made hands and draws with each one's share of the range and its equity, filtered with Keep and Drop. Every combo's weight, equity and difference from the range average. Turn on Lock range to click hands and read them without adding them to the range or removing them.
READ THE BOARD
The headline equity with its win, tie and lose split. How every turn and river changes it, and which next cards help or hurt. Each player's cumulative equity curve. How much of each range sits in each equity band, with cutoffs you set, and any band copied out as a new range. Equity buckets show as pies, a table or both, set in Settings.
THE REST
Dead cards. Enter the pot and the amount to call, and Axis marks your breakeven equity on the grid. A quick calculator window for one-off questions. Saved scenarios, a plain-text summary for your notes, and a report that pastes into a spreadsheet as columns. Light and dark mode, adjustable text size, a four-color deck, full keyboard shortcuts and a built-in guide. Drag the dividers between Detail sections to size them, and save the layout to come back to it.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Axis contains no network code. No account, no sign-in, no analytics, no crash reporter. Nothing you enter leaves your Mac.
ONE PURCHASE
No subscription and no in-app purchases.
WHAT IT IS NOT
Axis calculates equity. It is not a solver: it does not produce GTO strategies or betting frequencies, compute ICM, or connect to a tracker. There is no real-money play of any kind.
