Turn your photos into postcards for the people you miss. The farther it goes, the longer it takes, so it's worth the wait. No app on their side? Send a link.
FarNote turns a photo you took into a postcard, and sends it the long way.
Take a photo where you are, write a few lines on the back, and send it to a friend in another city. It doesn't arrive in a second. Your card makes its way from your city to theirs, and the farther it goes, the longer it takes.
HOW IT WORKS
• Start with a photo: choose one from your day, or take one where you are
• Write a few lines on the back, and sign it, or don't
• Choose who it's for. No address needed.
• Drag it into the postbox, and it's on its way
One morning, it's in their letterbox.
A WINDOW THAT TRAVELS WITH YOU
Your desk looks out onto home, with a mailbox waiting for cards from friends. When you travel, it can look out onto a landscape inspired by where you are. Turn the place sign to switch between the two. Your postcards and stamp book sit in the drawers below.
OPEN IT YOURSELF
When a postcard arrives, your mailbox opens so you can take it out, turn it over, and read it. Every card keeps its stamp and a postmark with the city and day it was sent, in one place you can always find.
WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT
Your photo, not the gift shop's. The front of every card is a picture you took.
They don't need the app. If your friend isn't on FarNote yet, send them a link and they can open the card in any browser.
Made for iPhone Duo too. Unfold it to widen your window, spread out your postcards, and see the whole back of a card at once.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
FarNote never asks for a street address. Your location is used only to find the city you post from.
WHAT IT IS NOT
Not a chat app. Not a feed. Nothing to scroll, nothing to keep up with.
FarNote is a digital postcard app and is not affiliated with any postal service. Delivery time is part of the experience and may change. Stamps and postmarks are design elements with no cash value.
