Press Space. Read Markdown. Preview Markdown in Finder with tables, tasks, footnotes, code, math, and Mermaid — then open BlankKey to edit and save. BlankKey makes Markdown feel native on macOS. Select a Markdown file in Finder and press Space. BlankKey renders it in Quick Look — no need to open an editor just to read a file. It supports CommonMark and GitHub Flavored Markdown, including tables, task lists, strikethrough, autolinks, footnotes, syntax highlighting, raw HTML, math with KaTeX, and Mermaid diagrams. Light and Dark appearance follow your Mac. Need to make a change? Open the file in BlankKey to view and edit the source beside the rendered page. Nothing is written until you explicitly save. Quick Look previews do not automatically fetch remote content. In the main app, remote HTTPS images can load only after you choose to allow them. BlankKey is designed for local Markdown files on macOS — from notes and README files to technical documents and reports.
