Tiko is a little robot who follows your commands. Children arrange picture blocks, press Run, and watch Tiko carry out their program one step at a time. When something goes wrong, Tiko stops and shows what happened, so children can find the mistake and fix it.
HOW IT WORKS
• Tap a picture block to add it to Tiko's program, or drag it into place.
• Press Run, or go one step at a time. The block Tiko is running glows.
• If Tiko bumps into a wall, stops early or lights the wrong spot, a short message and the voice guide explain why.
• Hints come in three steps: a glowing path, the next block to try, and "Show me".
WHAT CHILDREN LEARN
Tiko's journey crosses 8 lands, each introducing one idea:
• Workshop: putting commands in order
• Garden: planning a route with turns
• Lamp Street: actions, such as lighting a lamp in the right place
• Fix-it Yard: finding and fixing mistakes in a program
• River Loops: repeating blocks with a loop
• Crystal Caves: loops inside loops
• Signal Town: question blocks that check first, then choose, with one program for several maps
• Sky Factory: helpers, groups of blocks you build once and use many times
240 LEVELS
Each land has 30 levels. The first levels of every land are designed by hand to introduce the new idea. They are followed by practice levels made by our level generator. Every level is checked by a solver to make sure it can be solved and really needs the idea it teaches.
MADE FOR YOUNG LEARNERS
• Picture blocks and a voice guide, so early readers can play
• Full Arabic and English, with right-to-left and left-to-right layouts
