MAE, Making Allergies Easy, is a food allergy toolkit for you and your family. Set up a profile for each person with their allergens, and MAE checks labels, recalls and medications against those allergens.
INGREDIENT SCANNER
Take a photo of an ingredient label or import one from your photos. MAE reads the text and highlights the allergens of the active profile.
FDA RECALL NEWSFEED
MAE downloads FDA recall reports and marks the recalls that name an allergen of any profile. MAE can send a notification when a new recall matches an allergen.
PROFILES FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
Keep a separate allergen list, ingredients to avoid and safe ingredients for each person. Switch between profiles in one tap.
EPINEPHRINE REMINDERS
Record each epinephrine device and its expiration date. MAE reminds you before a device expires.
REACTION DIARY
Record allergic reactions for each profile, and export them as a CSV file to share with a doctor.
FOOD FINDS
Keep a list of the foods that are safe for your family, with ratings, stores and notes.
MEDICATION LOOKUP
Look up a medication by its NDC number, typed or photographed, and see its ingredients from DailyMed with your allergens flagged.
ALCOHOL CHECKER
Photograph a bottle label, and MAE searches Barnivore for that product.
BACKUP AND SHARING
Back up all of your data to a file, restore it on another device, and share a profile with a caregiver.
MAE PREMIUM
MAE is free with ads. MAE Premium is an auto-renewing monthly subscription that adds:
- no ads
- UPC barcode scanning in Food Finds
- cloud backup and sync with Google Drive
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless you turn it off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel the subscription in your App Store account settings.
