PassPhoto is completely free to use. Every feature is included, with no purchase required. Tips are entirely optional and simply support development.
Take or choose a photo, pick your document, and PassPhoto crops it to that document's official size: head height, eye line and margins included.
CHECKED AGAINST OFFICIAL RULES
• Passport, visa, ID and residence card photo rules for 45 countries and areas, each linked to its official source, plus the international ICAO standard for everywhere else.
• Separate rules for babies where the issuer publishes them.
• A clear list of what passes and what needs a retake: size, head position, background, glasses, expression and more.
• Requirements are reviewed every quarter and update in the app, with the date they were last checked.
ONLY WHAT'S NEEDED
• Auto crop only scales and crops the photo you take. Nothing in the photo is changed: no retouching, no background changes.
• Pan and zoom with guides for the head and eyes.
GUIDED CAMERA
Live hints for distance, framing, light and how the phone is held, with a clear signal when everything lines up.
SAVE AND PRINT
• Save to Photos, or keep photos in the app, named by document and date.
• Make a 4×6 in / 10×15 cm print sheet for a photo shop.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Faces, crops and backgrounds are measured on your iPhone. When available, the photo quality check uses Apple Intelligence with Private Cloud Compute (PCC); the photo is sent to PCC for that request. Apple says PCC uses the data only to fulfill the request, doesn't retain it, and doesn't make it accessible to Apple. If PCC is unavailable, PassPhoto uses the on-device model. No account and no tracking; nothing is sent to the developer.
The issuing authority makes the final decision on any photo.
