TabiJP is a Japanese course designed for travel, taking you from the kana all the way to speaking up in Japan. Really learn the grammar, practice the sentences you will use on your trip, understand what staff and announcements actually say, then check how much you remember with quizzes. You can listen to every example sentence, and the whole course lives on your phone, so you can study offline.
WHAT YOU LEARN
- Grammar basics: hiragana and katakana, word order, particles, verb and adjective forms, requests and permission, asking questions and understanding polite speech, explained in plain language for travelers.
- Scene conversations: airport and immigration, trains and transport, accommodation, ordering at restaurants, shopping and tax-free, asking directions, sightseeing and emergencies, the situations you will run into on the road.
- Staff and announcements: the convenience store, restaurants, the hotel front desk, station and train announcements, shops and drugstores, and the airport, with what you will actually hear broken down line by line.
- Quick reference: kana chart, everyday polite phrases, vocabulary, numbers, counters, and time and dates.
