The machine has a secret. Can you figure it out? Mechanym is a daily word puzzle starring a curious little machine with a rule hidden inside. Feed it words, watch what it answers, and work out the pattern. Then tell it the rule in your own words. A round takes a few minutes, today's secret is free, and the moment it clicks feels fantastic. HOW A SECRET WORKS • The machine hides a rule that turns one word into another. You type "hot", it answers "cold". • Some words get no answer at all, and that's a clue too. • Think you know the rule? Describe it however you like. "It's the opposite" counts just as much as "it gives the antonym". Get close, and the machine tells you what's still missing. • You have 12 words per round, and a guess costs one too. Stuck? Trade 2 of them for an example. • A new secret arrives every day at midnight UTC. MEET THE CAST Every game has its own machine, with its own look and its own trick. • Charade: The machine pretends to be something and describes itself, one clue at a time. "I hum all night." "I keep your leftovers." Every miss earns another clue, up to five. Name anything that fits every clue and it counts, even if the machine had something else in mind. • Questions: The machine is thinking of something and tells you what kind of thing it is. Ask yes-or-no questions to close in. You get twenty, and a guess counts as a question too. Stuck? Trade two for a hint. • Say It: This time you know the word and the machine doesn't. Describe it until the machine says it, then take the next one. Every word you type comes out of 25, and some words are off limits, so make each one count. Skip a tough word for 2. Every unfinished round waits for you, in every game. PLAY WITH FRIENDS • Send a challenge link or invite code, and your friends play the same puzzle. Then compare everyone's run, word by word. • Your inbox groups challenges by friend, each with their own avatar, and a notification tells you when a friend plays. • Make your own secret rule and dare your friends to solve it. • Share your result as a ticket that shows how you did and keeps the answer hidden. EVERY DAY • Keep your daily streak going and see the last five weeks on your dailies card. • Turn on reminders for each new secret and before your streak ends. • Widgets and Live Activities show how your round stands.
