Find what you weren’t looking for. Unbound tells you the stories of the places around you, on foot, by bike, by car or by train. In more than 130 countries.
Just go. Explore unbound.
Unbound is the audio guide that follows you, not the other way around. Walk, ride or drive wherever you like: Unbound knows where you are and tells you what happened there. Find what you weren’t looking for: from landmarks to the places most people simply walk past. On foot, by bike, by car or by train, in more than 130 countries.
ROAM FREELY
• Nothing to book, nothing to plan: tap start and put your phone away.
• Your guide tells you about what lies to your left, your right and ahead, and keeps pace with you.
• On the road it tells you about the land outside, with Apple CarPlay too.
RATHER HAVE A PLAN? TAKE A TOUR.
• Unbound suggests tours for your city, on foot or by bike, from a stroll through the neighborhood to the great classics. On the map you see them all at a glance.
• Between its stops, the way passes more interesting places, and your guide tells you about them too.
• Every tour can be customized, or you create your own, with notes at every stop and places of your own.
• Publish it for others, and everyone who takes it earns you explorer points, and points bring free passes again and again.
THE JOURNEY IS THE DESTINATION
• Need to get somewhere? A navigation app takes the fastest way. Unbound suggests one that passes the most interesting places, only a few minutes longer, and tells you about each on the way.
BUILT ON FACTS
• Every story is researched from Wikipedia and other reliable sources, not made up.
• Told like a story, but true. Read and share everything you heard later on.
YOUR GUIDE, YOUR INTERESTS
• Put guides together yourself: everything a place has to offer, or just your topics from history and architecture to nature and culture, how much they tell and which voice speaks.
• For kids, too: short stories in simple words, about knights, animals and inventors.
AND MORE
• Just ask: hold the microphone button and ask about what you see.
• The map: tap a place and hear its story, even from your sofa.
• Near you: the places with a story within walking distance, and the best day trips within 25 km.
• At a glance: where am I, actually? The essentials about district, city and country in a few minutes.
• What's on: festivals, markets, concerts, exhibitions and more, right where you are.
• Explore together: everyone hears the same story at the same moment, each on their own phone.
• Places from explorers: suggest places no encyclopedia knows, rate and comment.
• Progress you can see: points, levels, badges and a map that fills in wherever you have been.
GOOD TO KNOW
• Unbound speaks English and German.
• Free to try, no account needed: 20 minutes of pure storytelling, counted only while your guide is talking. That is enough for a long walk.
• After that there are passes for a weekend or a whole holiday that simply end, or a yearly subscription that renews every year until you cancel. With points, from your tours too, you earn passes again and again, up to a whole year.

Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
CarPlay is back: Unbound tells its stories right on your car's display again.
New voices as a reward: Misha from level 3 and Janos from level 5, calm and deep like the narrators of great nature films.
Your profile shows the neighborhoods you have explored most, and how much of each.
Tours by Unbound now come with a short description and show the climb, and they stay easy on purpose: walks and relaxed bike rides. Streets and rivers now tell their stories in Italy, Spain and France too. Plus a tidier map and many improvements along the way.
