Crack a new kanji case every day. Question suspects, follow the clues and keep your streak alive, from N5 to N1. Every day there's a new case: one hidden kanji, the same for every detective around the world. Question suspects, follow the clues and name the culprit. HOW IT WORKS Type a kanji, a reading or an English meaning to question a suspect. Every wrong guess uncovers another clue: • Stroke count • The kanji's category, such as Nature & weather or Body • A component it contains • A word it appears in, with the kanji hidden • An example sentence with the kanji blanked out • Its meaning and its on and kun readings • And, as a last resort, its stroke order drawn step by step Solve it with as few clues as you can. Your result is graded the way Japanese teachers mark homework. THE CASE FILE Once a case is closed, open its case file to study the kanji properly: meanings, readings with romaji, an animated stroke order, example words and real example sentences. THE CASEBOOK Every case you close goes into your casebook, with its kanji and your grade. Look back over past cases and reopen any case file to revise.
