Call the denju, spirit beasts asleep in the power lines, and purify the Noise that floods the night city. A 3D survivor action game steeped in Japanese folklore and kanji.
■ Kanji Summon: two kanji wake a beast
Pick two of 30 kanji, from 雷 thunder and 龍 dragon to 桜 sakura and 闇 darkness, and the denju living in that word wakes up.
There are 870 pairs, and the same pair always calls the same denju for everyone. 天雷 "heaven's thunder", 夜桜 "sakura at night", 天狼 "Sirius, the heaven wolf"... which pair hides a shiny?
Every day brings a Kanji of the Day, the same for everyone, and "Kanji Match" shows how two pairs get along. Every denju has its own lore.
■ Talisman Summon: 25 kinds × 4 ranks
5 species (Fox, Wolf, Kirin, Dragon, Phoenix) × 5 elements, each with its own finish: white porcelain, vermilion lacquer, ice, jade and ink.
Four ranks, N, R, SR and UR. Higher ranks wear sacred ropes, halos, crowns and celestial robes. Foxes grow more tails, and a UR fox becomes a Nine-Tails.
The 10th summon of a 10-summon is SR or better. With no UR, the 100th summon is a guaranteed UR.
■ Pet, bond and Ascend
Tap your denju at Home to pet it. Pet it every day to raise its bond and its power.
At Lv30 with 5 hearts, N and R denju can Ascend, growing from a cub into a fearsome beast, so your favorite can stay by your side. Name it anything you like.
Rare shinies come in special colors fixed to each talisman and kanji pair: black lacquer, sakura, gold, wisteria, moon-white.
While the app is closed, your leader gathers Spirit for you.
■ One finger against the horde
Drag to move; skills fire on their own. At every level-up, pick one of three upgrades and Awaken your skills to fill the screen with lightning.
Near a power pole your denju resonate and grow stronger; when the gauge is full, unleash the Seal Release.
About 3 minutes a run.
■ 10 wards and 10 Calamities
From the station arcade to the thundercloud peak, then on to the last-train station, a radio tower full of static, a sunken district and Tokoyo, each with its own hazard.
The Noise swarms in as yokai: will-o'-wisps, kamaitachi, oni, paper-lantern ghosts and armored warriors.
Banish the Blackout Oni, Raijin, the Great Centipede, the Great Tengu, Umibozu and Omagatsuhi, the source of every calamity, each with its own attacks.
Raise the Depth of a purified ward (up to 30), or take on Anomalies with special rules.
■ Night Parade: weekly endless mode
A new ward and new Anomalies every week. How long can you last as Calamity after Calamity appears? Everyone plays under the same conditions.
Game Center "This week" and "All time" leaderboards. On iOS 26, "Challenge friends" lets you compete in this week's Night Parade. Feats are Game Center achievements too.
■ Seasonal festivals
Each month holds a festival from the Japanese calendar: New Year visits, cherry blossoms, Tanabata, moon viewing, autumn leaves and more. Complete its goals to stamp that month's seal in your Seal Book.
■ Something new every day
Talismans from daily logins, missions, Feats and first clears. The Kanji of the Day summon is free every day. Your game is saved to iCloud automatically, so you can continue on a new iPhone.
