Squawkle is a drawing and guessing game for iPhone and iPad. Draw a word with your finger. The other crabs have to guess it before Gulliver, a know-it-all robot gull, figures it out. Draw so clearly that your friends get it, but so strangely that Gulliver doesn't.
PLAY YOUR WAY
- Daily Doodle: ten doodles a day, the same for everyone, with a leaderboard.
- Gull Duel: race Gulliver and guess before he does.
- The beach: play online with friends or other crabs. Robot crabs fill in, so there's always a game.
- Party: pass one phone around the room.
- Practice: draw anything and watch Gulliver guess.
EVERY DAY SOMETHING NEW
Three challenges a day and 12 achievements earn you shells. Spend them in the crab closet on hats, shell patterns, inks and sand colours. Other players see your hat on the beach.
MADE TO BE FRIENDLY
- No chat and no free text between players. Only drawings and guesses.
- A lifeguard checks every stroke on your device before anyone sees it. Your drawings are never sent to AI services.
- Report or block anyone with a tap on their crab.
- No ads, no tracking.
SHELLS ARE FREE, OR A SHORTCUT
You can earn everything in the crab closet for free. Shell packs and the Supporter pack are optional shortcuts. They only change how your crab looks, never your score or how Gulliver plays. No loot boxes and no randomness.
Online play uses Game Center. Players under 18 only play online with their Game Center friends.

Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
- Every drawing screen now looks and works the same: practice, party, the beach, Gull Duel and replays. Other crabs see your drawing exactly as you drew it, on iPhone and iPad.
- The beach is much quicker: robot crabs join after a few seconds, and real crabs hop straight into a game that's already going.
- Small typos no longer count against you, and you can guess in English or Dutch, also in Gull Duel and the Daily Doodle.
- New on the beach: emotes (claw clap, laugh, mind blown and boo the gull), and every drawing plays back as a short film.
- Eraser and undo everywhere, and you can now stop a practice or party game at any time.
- Gulliver flies along in Gull Duel, says his (wrong) guesses out loud and dives at the doodle when he gets it.
- Blocking a player now also lets us know, so we can step in faster.
- The beach rules now spell out zero tolerance for abusive drawings, names and players. You'll be asked to accept them once more.
- No Game Center? The Daily Doodle and the beach now explain what you need for the leaderboard and for real players.
- The Supporter pack now also works after a refund and a new purchase.
- Small fixes and improvements.
