Fieldplate is a focused optical planning desk for astrophotographers who capture a target across multiple sensor panels. Enter your telescope or lens focal length, reducer, sensor dimensions, pixel size, target extent and reference sky center. Fieldplate calculates true single-frame field of view, image scale, the overlapping mosaic footprint and a readable panel-by-panel list of sky centers. Set rows, columns, overlap and rotation; inspect the plate as you refine the layout. Save separate plans and carry a multipage PDF capture sheet into the field. The calculations are transparent and local. Tile coordinates use a tangent-plane estimate; the app withholds right ascension offsets near the celestial poles. Verify your mount's plate solve, physical camera rotation and local sky conditions before capture. Fieldplate does not connect to your camera or mount, provide live star maps, predict weather, or replace your imaging software. One purchase.
