Snap the board! In class, tap Snap the board and Miles reads the photo and puts it in your notes, right at the minute it was written. Formulas, diagrams and slides included, and you can ask Miles about any of it. Took photos with your camera instead? After class, Miles offers to add the ones you took during it. Miles is also on iPad now, upright or sideways, in Split View and Stage Manager. Your whole class, in one place. • Class summaries: what your class has covered so far, built from your own notes, with what was said about the exam. Pick just the lectures a quiz covers. • Your notes are now in folders, one per class, with the class you have next first. • "I need my phone for class": unlock your apps for 10 minutes without ending the class. Miles keeps listening. • If a call or Siri interrupts the class, Miles picks the recording back up on his own. • If Miles stops listening, the card on your Lock Screen says so. • A clearer plans screen. • After class, Miles goes straight to writing your notes.

Miles got better at catching your whole class. • If Miles stops hearing the lecture, he tells you within seconds, so you can pick the class back up. • If he can barely hear (phone in your bag?), he says so. • "Before we start": three quick things before your first classes, so he catches all of it. • He lets you know when your notes are ready, and notes you've opened stay on your phone. • A scheduled class now ends by itself 20 minutes after its time, and your apps unlock. • Strict mode is now a switch in Profile › Focus & blocking. Your first class and first study session can always be ended early. • See when your free week ends, and manage your plan, from Profile. • New loading screen, with Miles at his desk.

New: Roast me. Turn it on in Profile › Focus & blocking, and Miles stops being nice when you open a locked app in class. Every try gets worse. • Class receipt: after a class with your apps locked, see how many times you went for your phone, with a grade from Miles. Made for the group chat. • Miles makes an entrance when your plan is ready. • Setup explains the Screen Time step better, and lets you try again if you said no by mistake. • Miles looks cleaner on dark screens.

New: Study Mode. Lock your distracting apps while you study. The mic stays off. • Timer or Pomodoro: 25, 50 or 90 minutes, until you stop, or rounds with breaks (25 + 5 or 50 + 10). • Your apps unlock by themselves for each break and when the session ends. • Studying for a class? Its notes stay one tap away. • It follows your Focus & blocking settings, and ends in time for your next class. • Your Profile now shows your focus time for the week, in class and studying, and a streak that counts both. Also in this update: • A purchase or an offer code is recognized right away on a new install. • If you close Miles during setup, it picks up where you left off. • Start Class asks for the microphone if your iPhone never did, like after restoring a backup.

Miles now works from your Lock Screen. • Live Activity: while Class Mode is on, your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island show the class timer, with "I'm lost" and "End Class" one tap away. • Start Class control: add it to Control Center, your Lock Screen or the Action Button to start Class Mode in one tap. • New semester? Send Miles a photo of your new schedule. Your old classes move to Past classes, and their notes stay. • Home now shows what Miles is up to: writing your notes, or letting you know they're ready to read. • A friendlier onboarding, a clearer plans screen, and "Have a code?" for offer codes. • Fixes: your focus streak no longer breaks when you add a class, and class reminders no longer double up.
