SkiMIS AI Interpreter translates your conversation live – you speak naturally, and your counterpart hears you in their own language. The app was developed by SkiMIS – Medatec GmbH for conversations between SkiMIS consultants and international partners: ski resorts, ropeway operators, investors and authorities. HOW IT WORKS • The SkiMIS consultant starts a conversation and shows a QR code. • You scan the code with your camera or the app and choose your language. • You speak – the app translates every sentence live and shows subtitles. REQUEST A CONVERSATION Would you like to talk to a SkiMIS consultant? Choose the consultant from the list, enter your name and topic, and send the request via WhatsApp, e-mail or any other app. As soon as the consultant accepts, the conversation starts automatically. FEATURES • Live translation in German, English, Russian and Japanese • Subtitles: original and translation side by side • Invitation via QR code or link – no registration for guests • Conversation requests via WhatsApp or e-mail • Names and technical terms from ski resorts and ropeways are recognised reliably • Original voice quietly in the background, volume adjustable • Optional low-resolution video • Table mode for SkiMIS consultants: one device on the table, each person speaks via their own microphone button • Meeting recording for SkiMIS consultants: phone on the table, the whole meeting is transcribed – even with an interpreter, without duplicates in the record • Works with a headset or the loudspeaker PRIVACY During the conversation your voice, the text recognised from it and its translation are sent to OpenAI and processed there, and for speech output possibly to Microsoft Azure. Before the first conversation the app asks for your consent. SkiMIS does not store audio or video; it keeps the conversation text for up to 12 months as a conversation record for the consultant involved. The connection between the devices is encrypted. PLEASE NOTE The translation is produced by artificial intelligence. It is very good but may contain mistakes. Please confirm important agreements in writing. Only SkiMIS staff can start conversations. Guests use the app free of charge.
