Sanya Guide is a travel guide to Sanya, Hainan, in Russian, English, Kazakh and Chinese — everything you need when everyone around speaks only Chinese. WHERE TO EAT AND RELAX Cafés and restaurants, bars, massage and spa, pharmacies, shops and sights of Sanya — with descriptions, photos, opening hours and reviews. Browse by district (Dadonghai, Sanya Bay, the city centre and more), by rating, or by what is open right now. MENUS YOU CAN READ Venue menus are translated, with dish photos and prices in yuan and in your currency: roubles, tenge, Belarusian roubles or dollars. Build your order and show the screen to the waiter — they will see the dishes in Chinese. SHOW IT TO THE TAXI DRIVER A card for the driver: the address in large Chinese characters, a photo of the entrance and a map. Call a taxi or open the route in the maps app on your phone. MAP Every place on the map of Sanya, with the distance and walking time from you. Download the map and use it offline — in roaming or on the beach. SPEAK CHINESE A phrasebook with transcription and voice: tap a phrase to show it in large text, or let the phone say it. Your own phrase is translated into Chinese. TRANSLATE FROM A PHOTO Take a photo of a menu, a sign or a medicine box — the App recognises and translates the text. INTERPRETER IN THE CHAT When you can't explain something yourself, write to an interpreter — they will help with a restaurant, a pharmacy, a taxi or your hotel. USEFUL Weather and sea temperature, typhoon alerts, venue coupons and deals, a currency calculator, how to get from the airport and to the beaches, answers to common questions about China and emergency numbers. Built to work in China: maps and data come through our own server. Almost everything works without an account; an account is needed to post reviews, keep favourites, redeem coupons and chat with the interpreter.
