Tabulay is a native CSV editor for Mac. It opens CSV files as written, with no million-row ceiling, lost leading zeros or invented dates. Find, filter, sort, edit and save from the keyboard. Eligible subscribers get a 14-day introductory free trial. OPENS YOUR FILE AS IT IS • Millions of rows, indexed in one pass instead of loaded. Files up to 2 GB open for editing, larger ones read-only. • Nothing is reformatted: leading zeros, long IDs and dates stay exactly as the file wrote them. • Delimiter, encoding, header row, decimal separator and date format are detected, and Open with Options previews them. • Every column gets a type, with a count of the values that don't fit. • Opens .xlsx workbooks too, with Tabulay Pro: pick a sheet and work on it like any CSV. The workbook is never changed. A REAL EDITOR, FREE • Native AppKit: tabs, full menus, Dark Mode, Increase Contrast, VoiceOver, and ⌘K to find any command, column or row. Keyboard first. • Find with ⌘F; ⇧⌘F shows only the matching rows. • Filter from a column's header, or right-click a cell to show only (or hide) its value. • Sum, average and count of a number column in the status bar, exact to the cent (up to 200,000 rows, and it says so). • European numbers add up: -1.234,50 and -12 480,00 are numbers that sort, filter and total, saved as written. • Edit cells, rows and columns, paste from a spreadsheet, and jump back to any step of the History. • Saving keeps the delimiter, encoding and line endings. Untouched rows are copied byte for byte, unless columns are added or removed. • The inspector profiles any column: counts, minimum, maximum and sum, with a histogram or its top values. SEE YOUR DATA (TABULAY PRO) • Column insights: a box plot with percentiles and outliers, mean and standard deviation; averages or sums per category or per day, month or year; top values over time; a date column's timeline and weekdays. Click a category's bar to filter by it. • Remove duplicates: see the groups of duplicate rows before anything is deleted. • Compare two versions of a file on an ID column: added, removed and changed rows, ready to export. ASK YOUR FILE (TABULAY PRO) • Real SQL on the open file, with a full analytical engine built in: GROUP BY, window functions, CTEs, pivots, percentiles. • The Examples menu writes queries from your columns: totals, top 3 per group, outliers, pivots. • Filter chips turn into SQL that selects the same rows. Explain shows the real query plan. CLEAN AND TRANSFORM (TABULAY PRO) • Find & replace with regular expressions and $1 groups, with a live preview of every change. • Split and merge columns, or derive one with an expression. • Normalize a number or date column: values written the other way (1.234,50 among 1234.50) take the column's format, after a preview. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account, no tracking, no network access: macOS blocks every connection. • Card numbers are masked in the grid, grid copies that hold them stay off clipboard history, and card number columns are flagged before a save or export writes them in full.
