Turn one-color artwork into a connected stencil. Find loose islands, add bridges at a chosen width, and inspect an SVG cut file and 1:1 PDF proof.
A stencil can look complete on screen while the center of a letter falls out after cutting. Islecut shows which light material islands are disconnected from the outer sheet, so you can bridge them before you export.
Import a high-contrast, one-color PNG or JPEG from Photos or Files. Adjust the black-and-white threshold or invert the source when needed. Choose an island, a bridge direction, and a physical bridge width; or let Islecut connect the shortest straight paths. The connectivity check runs again after each edit. Undo the last bridge or rebuild from the source image.
When every material area reaches the sheet edge, export closed SVG cut paths sized in millimeters. Open a two-page PDF proof: page one places the cutout at the entered physical size, and page two records the sheet dimensions, result, and practical print and test-cut notes. Keep multiple editable sheets on your device. A built-in sample sheet lets you test the workflow; your first launch starts with an empty library.
Islecut traces a thresholded bitmap. Its paths approximate pixel boundaries and do not preserve a vector original, color layers, fine photographic detail, or every intricate stencil. Inspect the SVG in your cutting software, print the proof at 100% instead of Fit to Page, and make a small test cut for your own cutter, blade, and material before a final run.
One purchase, with no account, subscription, ads, analytics, tracking, cloud sync, or upload to a developer server. Imported images and projects stay on your device unless you choose to share an exported file.
