YouTube
Tap a Shorts link and Shorty drops you on the normal video player instead. Shorts shelves, the Shorts button in the menu, and Shorts mixed into your feed and search all disappear.
Instagram and Facebook
Reels are hidden. On Instagram, a reel link takes you back to your normal page instead of the vertical scroll.
TikTok
The For You feed is covered with a calm screen. You can step through if you really mean to, but the autoplay reel never grabs you first.
X
The video tab and video discovery are pulled out of the way.
You stay in control
Every site has its own switch, plus one master switch, in a single tap from the toolbar. Turn off the ones you want, keep the rest. A counter shows how many shorts Shorty has blocked for you, which is oddly satisfying once the number climbs.

Shorty is a one-time purchase. No subscription, no account, no sign in. It does not watch what you browse, it sends nothing anywhere, and it has no analytics. The only permission it asks for is local storage to remember your switches.
