Signing in to gitlab.com happens on GitLab's own page. Push alerts use a separate read-only key that our server enforces: it cannot approve, merge or push code, and it refuses any key that could. New yearly subscribers can start with a first month for $0.99, after which the plan renews at $14.99 per year. There is no free trial.
