Brass Hour – Cocktail Recipes
Mix with the bottles you own
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Tell it what's on your shelf. It tells you what you can pour.
Brass Hour is a cocktail library that starts from your bar rather than from a wish list. Add the bottles you actually own — or scan their barcodes — and the app works out what those bottles can make, and what one more would unlock.
2,555 recipes, from the Negroni to drinks you have never heard of, each with its measures, its glass, its method and a photograph.
Your bar, not a shopping list. Every recipe shows what you have and what you are missing, so you know before you start whether you can finish.
One bottle away. The app surfaces the drinks you are a single ingredient short of, and says how many each missing bottle would unlock.
Scan a bottle. Point the camera at a barcode and it identifies what is in your hand and files it under the right ingredient.
Substitutions. No Cointreau? It will tell you what else works.
Ounces or millilitres, your choice, and every recipe scales to the number of glasses you are actually making.
Dietary filters for alcohol-free, dairy-free and vegan, applied across every screen rather than just the main list.
A shopping list built from the recipes you want to make, merged so you buy one bottle rather than four lines of it.
Everything works offline. There are no accounts, no ads and no tracking — the app collects nothing about you, and there is nothing to sign up for.
English, French and Spanish throughout, recipes included.

A pass over the recipe library and over your bar.
• The Alcohol Free filter was offering 30 recipes that contain liqueur, cider or wine. It no longer does.
• My Bar follows your phone's language now. Ingredients used to stay in whatever language you added them in.
• "White Rum" appeared twice when stocking your bar. That duplicate is gone, along with two others.
• Amaretto, Kahlúa, Bénédictine and 37 more are filed with the liqueurs and spirits instead of under "Other".
• Amounts read properly where a recipe gives no number — ice is "to taste" rather than "cube".
• Grand Blue finally has a method.
