Light torches, find secret rooms, rescue ten lost neighbours and wake the Old City deep below. Play alone, together or in teams! A little purple beetle with a headlamp has a cottage in the meadow – and beneath it waits a whole world. DIG DOWN Dig through soil, stone, coal and roots. Further down, big caves open up with lakes, glowing mushrooms on the ceiling and darkness as far as your lamp can reach. Every world is new. LIGHT MEANS SAFETY Spiders and scorpions live in the dark. Light torches, mushroom lanterns and camps – they won't dare come close to the light. And deep down, earthworms sleep until you dig too loudly. Is a worm looking for you? Stand still, or sneak. BUILD YOUR WAY Ladders take you out of the caves, blocks make bridges over holes, and supports hold up the ceiling when the loose soil starts to crack. A BEETLE THAT CAN DO MORE The beetle curls up and rolls down steep tunnels, walks a little way along the ceiling on sticky feet, and carries home what it found on its back. WATER THAT WANTS OUT Some old walls hold back water. Is it creaking? Then hurry! When the water bursts out, thirsty mushrooms wake up and light the way. AREAS THAT FEEL DIFFERENT Find your way through the Root Maze where roots grow back, the Flooded Chambers where the water rises and falls, the Coal Forest where torches flare up, and the Crystal Cave where crystals light each other. RUINS AND CRYSTAL RUINS Ancient ruins are mazes with a treasure at the end and a piece of an old map. The Glimmer folk left traces behind – beds, toys and drawings that show how they lived. In the crystal ruins you turn crystals so that the beam of your headlamp reaches the symbol – and the gate opens. LIGHT REVEALS SECRETS Light up the old places – not everything can be seen in the dark. Deep down there are secrets that only show themselves in the right light: hidden rooms, forgotten passages and treasures no one has seen for a long time. THE OLD CITY Find all four map pieces and they will show you the way to Glimmer City and the Heart of the Earth, 800–1000 meters down. Wake the city's old machines with coal, and the lanterns light up and the lifts start to move. A HOME THAT GROWS Add a workshop, bedrooms and a museum to your cottage. Make a sharper pickaxe, a brighter lamp and a stone drill, and display the treasures you found. Rescue the seven lost inhabitants of Glimmer City – a snail, a mole, a frog, a glow-worm, a crystal butterfly and more. They move in with you, the yard by your cottage grows, and your neighbours help you and tell stories about the old city. SOUND AND MUSIC Soft music that changes mood in every area, and gentle sounds for everything you dig, build and find – all made for the game. PLAY TOGETHER Invite a friend to your world and dig together, or play team mode: purple against turquoise. Steal the other team's crystals, build team blocks only your team can dig away – and trap your opponents! No ads and no subscriptions.
