Orphie: Mileage Tracker

Log miles driven for taxes

Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Orphie is a mileage log for delivery and rideshare drivers with 1099 income. One log covers everything you drive for, and there is no account to create. You decide which miles go in the log, and Orphie labels every dollar figure as an estimate. Tap Start shift when you begin and End shift when you're done. Pause turns location off, so personal driving stays out of the log. Orphie never starts on its own. It does not track expenses or earnings, and it does not file taxes. Outside the US, you get the same log, routes, and stops, plus Summary, Statement, Export PDF, and Export CSV by calendar year, without the IRS rate estimate or Vehicle info for Schedule C. DRIVE • Pick your vehicle and who you're driving for, then tap Start shift. • The screen shows business miles, shift time, and an estimated deduction at the IRS standard mileage rate. • Orphie keeps logging when the screen is locked or you switch to another app. • Pause turns location off. Orphie records no miles until you tap Resume. REVIEW AND SAVE • After End shift, check the route map, business miles, and stop count, then tap Save shift. • Orphie drafts the business purpose from who you drove for and your stops. You can edit it and add a note. LOG • Each logged shift keeps its date, times, miles, route, stops, vehicle, business purpose, and who you drove for. • To correct GPS miles, you enter a reason. The original GPS miles stay in the record. • Shifts you add by hand stay marked "Added by hand." TAXES • Summary shows the year's business miles and the estimated standard mileage amount. It also lists what vehicle info still needs, such as odometer readings. • Vehicle info shows the information for Schedule C, Part IV, for each vehicle. Orphie logs business miles only, so lines 44b (commuting) and 44c (other) read "Not covered." • Statement totals your miles by vehicle, by who you drive for, and by month. • Export PDF and Export CSV each make one file for the year, ready to share. BACKUP • Back up now saves one file to a place you choose, such as iCloud Drive or Google Drive. Restoring it replaces everything on the phone. APPEARANCE • Choose Original, Cabin, or Graphite in Settings. Each has a light and a dark look that follows your phone's setting. PRIVACY • Orphie never connects to your gig accounts. Your log is stored on your phone, and Orphie has no server. • Orphie uses location only during a shift that you start. • City names in business purpose is off until you turn it on in Settings. LANGUAGES English, Spanish, German, Finnish, Dutch, Swedish, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. The PDF is in English and adds labels in your language. NOT TAX ADVICE Orphie keeps mileage records. It does not give tax advice, file returns, or decide which miles qualify for a deduction. Ask a CPA or tax professional about your own taxes. Every feature in this version is free to use. Questions: support@orphie.app

New in 1.0.1: • German, Finnish, Dutch, and Swedish app languages, available during setup and in Settings. • Refreshed indigo app icons. • If your phone closes Orphie in the background, unsaved shifts and forms keep what you typed. • Distances added by hand keep the exact number you type, without rounding to tenths. • Export notices now state that GPS records cover the drive from Start to End, with paused time excluded.
