Measure your listening room

$9.99

Measure your listening room with an iPhone Pro, an Apple TV and music you know. Room shows how your seat measures and where the bass builds up. Room measures your listening room and shows you what to change. You see where each speaker sits and which way it points, how your seat measures, and how the bass behaves across the whole room. You measure with three devices. Room Scan on an iPhone Pro maps the room with LiDAR, and you point the phone at each speaker to mark it. Room for Apple TV plays pink noise and your own music through your AV receiver. Room on the Mac records each pass and shows the results. Each speaker gets a position, height and direction. Your seat gets a frequency response. For fine tuning you walk the room while a track plays, and Room maps the bass at every position you stop. The plan shows where modes build up and where nulls fall. Distances are in feet and inches. Room measures with music you know. The track plays at listening level through your receiver. The Mac, iPhone and Apple TV share a clock, so every recording lines up with what was played. REQUIREMENTS • A Mac with macOS 13 or later • Room Scan on an iPhone 12 Pro or a later Pro model, or an iPad Pro with LiDAR • Room for Apple TV on an Apple TV 4K connected to your receiver by HDMI • Music files you own Room does not apply EQ or change your receiver's settings. Keep Dirac, Audyssey or your receiver's own correction for that. Your measurements stay on your Mac and your local network. The iPhone microphone is not a calibrated measurement mic, so levels are relative, not absolute. One purchase covers Room on Mac, iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. Room is an independent product of Symbia Labs and is not affiliated with Dirac Research, Audyssey or any receiver manufacturer.
