Mantis: News & Forecasts
Know before it's news.
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Prediction markets often move before the news settles. Mantis watches the most-traded markets on politics, the economy, world affairs and technology, and when the odds move sharply it writes a short story explaining it, with AI, from the market data and public reporting.
Each story tells you:
• where the market stands now and how far it moved
• how it got there, step by step
• the likely cause, when public reporting explains it, with its sources
• what is still unknown
Stories update as the news develops, so you can follow a question from the first move to the final outcome.
FOLLOW WHAT YOU CARE ABOUT
Pick your topics and For You leads with them. Follow a story to hear when it changes, or set up monitors on markets of your own.
ALERTS THAT RESPECT YOUR TIME
Mantis sends an alert only when a story changes materially. Write alert filters in your own words, like "Only the Fed and interest rates" or "Only big swings", and see which recent alerts would still have reached you.
ASK ABOUT A STORY
Ask a question about any story and get an answer drawn from its reporting.
ON YOUR HOME SCREEN
Widgets show the top story or the whole front page, with the latest odds.
Browse stories as a guest, or sign in with Apple, Google or email to follow stories, get alerts and set filters. Mantis reads markets; it is not a trading app, and nothing in it lets you place a bet.
