Heater Pitch Speed
Clock a pitch from slo-mo
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Heater turns a slo-mo clip into a pitch speed. Film a pitch at 240 frames a second, or import one from Photos, and Heater finds the ball, marks the frame it leaves the hand and the frame it reaches the glove, and reads the speed off the clip's own timing. No radar gun, no extra gear, and nothing leaves your phone unless you back it up to your own iCloud.
• Film in Heater or import slo-mo clips by the handful.
• Heater finds the ball and sets both marks. Check them frame by frame, zoomed on the hand and the glove.
• Heater's AI reads the ball's flight and gives the speed a radar gun would.
• Log each pitch: type, location in the zone, count, outs, batter, outcome.
• Every session shows its top speed, average, strike rate and every pitch in order.
• Export and share a pitch with coaches, family and friends: a video with the ball's trail and the speed on it.
• Set each pitcher's mound distance and release point once. Youth, softball and adult mounds all work.
• Back up to your own iCloud with one switch, and bring it all back on a new phone.
Everything stays on your iPhone, or in your own iCloud if you switch backup on. No account, no ads, no tracking.
Heater needs 1080p slo-mo at 240 frames a second, which every iPhone from the iPhone 8 on records. Stand to the side, level with the pitch, about 20 feet away, and hold still from the windup to the catch.
Heater Pro unlocks recording, importing and calibrating pitches: a one-week free trial, then $2.99 every three months, shared with your family through Family Sharing. Everything you have already saved stays viewable and shareable without it. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings.

Recording now works on iPhones and iPads without an ultra wide lens, such as the iPhone 16e, iPhone SE and most iPads. The camera opens on the 1x lens there.
