WATCH AND UNDERSTAND Choose the language spoken in your video and the language you want to read. Follow translated captions as the video plays, with the original text for comparison. Switch between bilingual, original-only and translated-only display. Read the translation to understand the idea, then look at the original to see how it was expressed. The transcript gives you text to revisit alongside the video. GENERATE A COMPLETE SUBTITLE DRAFT Create subtitles without typing every line from scratch. Open the results in the editor to review both the transcription and translation in one project. Use it for tutorials, interviews, classes, demonstrations and personal videos. Let automatic transcription prepare the draft, then focus on the details. REFINE WORDS AND TIMING Review subtitles in a list, search for text and edit individual lines. Correct a name, improve a phrase or make terminology consistent throughout the video. Use the timeline and video preview to adjust when each subtitle starts and ends. Split, copy or delete subtitles as needed, with undo and redo to help you work through changes. STYLE YOUR SUBTITLES Choose a style, then adjust the font, size, color, outline, background and position. Apply a style to an individual subtitle or use it more broadly for a consistent result. Preview subtitle clarity and placement against your video before exporting. EXPORT A SUBTITLED VIDEO Save your finished video to Photos or share it as a file. Burn subtitles into the picture to preserve their appearance. You can also export a video with switchable subtitles for compatible players. In that format, the player controls subtitle appearance. Choose the option that suits where your video will be watched. TAKE SUBTITLES TO YOUR NEXT TOOL Export SRT or WebVTT files with subtitle text and timing. Use them in compatible editing tools, media players or web video workflows. Choose original, translated or bilingual content when exporting. Keep working with a separate subtitle file, or share a finished video when it is ready to watch. RETURN TO YOUR PROJECTS Imported videos and subtitle edits stay in local projects for your account. Reopen a project from your video library to continue watching, editing or preparing another export. Work on a short clip on iPhone or use the larger editing space on iPad. Projects remain on the device where you created them; export the video or subtitles when you need to use the results elsewhere. SUPPORTED LANGUAGES Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, German and Arabic. Select the source and translation languages for your video before starting. USAGE AND PRO Translation requires an account, an internet connection and available translation time, including for videos imported from your device. Check your remaining time and available Pro plans in the app. Pro includes 50 hours of video translation per month. Monthly and annual plans provide the same monthly allowance; the annual plan does not grant the entire year's hours upfront. Prices, billing periods and included benefits are shown before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically and can be managed or canceled in your Apple Account subscription settings. Restore purchases from the app when needed. Clear speech helps produce better results.
