Plope is the party game where the other team holds the phone, ticks off your answers and secretly poisons the one they know you're going to say. A quiz with friends, a party game and a bluffing game all at once, on a single phone.
YOUR FRIENDS SET THE TRAP
Here, the trap isn't drawn at random by the app. While your back is turned, the other team picks the rare answer you're bound to find: the one only the cartoon fan knows, the one Julien will blurt out because he knows every hit from 1998 by heart. During the minute, the poison is ticked like any other answer: same box, same buzz. Nothing gives it away, except one smile too many.
ONE ROUND, FOUR BEATS
• The phone goes to the other team. They read: the 9 answers are for their eyes only.
• You turn your back. They have 20 seconds to poison a rare answer… or none at all.
• 60 seconds to shout whatever comes to mind. The reader ticks them off. An obvious answer is worth 1 point, a rare one 3.
• The poison is revealed. You said it? They score. Nobody said it? It backfires on them.
A 90S AND 2000S QUIZ
Each round, you choose between two themes made for anyone who grew up between the 90s and the 2010s: talent shows, video games, TV series, cartoons, chart hits, France's scorers at the 1998 World Cup… No need to be a trivia champion: if you watched TV, listened to the radio and held a controller, you're ready. Closed lists, checked against two sources. Right answers that aren't on the list show up at the end of the round, to settle the argument.
THE PARTY GAME THAT FITS IN A PHONE
• One phone: only the host installs the game
• 4 to 12 players, in two teams, or three from 6 players: the third team tries to steal a missed answer
• About two minutes a round: one round over drinks or the whole evening
• Double points in the last round, podium at the end
• Offline: the themes are in the app, even in Aeroplane Mode
• Large text, vibrations in the last ten seconds and a night theme when the lights go down
