Hardcore Grandpa is a top-down action roguelite where you play as a 75-year-old grandpa defending his room from waves of thieves using a weaponized electric wheelchair. There is no traditional attack button—instead, every attack comes from dashing straight through enemies and smashing them with the weapon mounted to your chair. Combat is built around movement, timing, and positioning. Wait for your Dash to recharge, line up multiple enemies, then launch forward to damage everything in your path. Different wheelchairs completely change how each dash behaves, from long-range katana strikes and powerful hammer impacts to continuous chainsaw damage and shockwave attacks. The thieves are not only trying to defeat you. Carrier enemies rush toward the five valuable items in the room, grab them, and attempt to escape through the exit. Protect TVs, computers, paintings, safes, and other valuables while fighting Knife, Bat, Hammer, Fast, and Tank enemies. If your HP reaches zero—or all five valuables are stolen—the run is over. Survive each wave, choose one of three roguelite upgrades, defeat minibosses and bosses, and earn Gold after successful runs. Unlock new wheelchairs, improve permanent stats, and prepare for increasingly dangerous robber attacks across hospital rooms, lounges, dining areas, hallways, and storage rooms.
