Buy only the units you need or unlock all five in one purchase. A free paper in every unit and a selection of the cards let you judge the standard before you buy. D6, the research assignment, is coursework rather than an exam, so the app does not cover it.
THREE WAYS INTO EVERY QUESTION
- Sit it: write your answer by hand under the clock, then mark it
- Plan it: five minutes to jot the points an answer would make, marked against the scheme
- Study it: the scheme, a model answer at distinction standard and a weaker answer with commentary
MARKED POINT BY POINT
- Every question shows its weighting, its share of the time and its command verbs
- Mark schemes list the creditable points with their caps, the answers not to credit and what lifts an answer to distinction
- Checks before you mark: did you answer the command verb, cover the scope, use the scenario
- A model answer for every part and a weaker answer with commentary on what earned its marks and what cost them
BLIND TASTING AT HOME (D3, D4 AND D5)
- Each flight tells you what to buy: a category and a price level, never a brand, a producer or a shop
- A friend pours the wines blind; you write your notes by hand on the clock, 15 minutes a wine
- Mark each wine field by field against a tasting note for its style: one level per field, as the exam expects
- Conclusions and identification marked in bands, with calibration pairs and conclusion drills
