Each plays differently, with its own powers, prayers and stories. Be born to your seat, spring from the world itself, rise from mortal life, or seize the throne from the god before you. CREATE YOUR GOD Shape your face, hair, eyes, crown and robes in hand-drawn art inspired by ancient Greek pottery. Name your cult, choose its sacred sign, and fill a pantheon of twelve with Greek, Roman or Egyptian gods, or invent your own. WIELD 400+ DIVINE POWERS Send the rain. Hurl thunder at the assembly. Curse a king. Raise the dead. Awaken five aspects of your domain and unleash great acts: drown the world in a flood, raise a golden city, or walk among mortals in disguise. ANSWER PRAYERS, SHAPE MORTAL LIVES 400+ prayers, nearly 700 events and 240+ story chains that unfold across years. Shipwrecks, secrets, plagues, weddings, prophecies and family feuds. Every choice has a price, and mortals remember what you did. FACE CALAMITY Locust years, plague ships, great fires, a waking mountain. Save your people, bargain with another god, or let the world burn. WAGE WAR Rival realms want your island. Read your scouts and fight round by round: charge, hold the line, flank, or call down your domain to turn the battle. Sack cities, take tribute or make peace. RAISE A DIVINE BEAST Dragon, kraken, leviathan, hydra, basilisk, great wolf, golden lion, shadow panther, nine-tailed fox, star stag or moon moth. Feed it, train it, fly together, and loose it on your enemies before a hero comes hunting. LOVE, SCHEME AND FEUD Flirt, feast, beguile, trade favors and hold grudges. Marry, raise godborn children, and decide which of them deserves your seat. Win the favor of every court, from the God of the Sky to the smallest river nymph. GODS CAN FALL Rivals and even your own children can challenge you to a contest to the death. Win, and end them the old ways: cast into the pit, chained beneath a mountain, torn apart or swallowed whole. Lose, and your myth may end there. BUILD YOUR REALM Raise temples, markets, harbors, theaters and a Colossus. Keep nobles, priests and commoners on your side, or rule by fear. Change your island's climate, dress your city in your colors, and watch it come alive from dawn to night. GROW YOUR FAITH Turn a handful of believers into ten thousand faithful. Found oracles, ordain a high priest and choose the doctrines of your worship. LIVE A GOD'S OWN LIFE Wander the world as yourself, a mortal or a beast. Visit the Oracle and the Fates, take up pastimes, witness rare wonders, and earn epithets like the Merciful, Godslayer or Ender of Ages.
