Open, search, filter, sort, and edit CSV files on your Mac. Keep file contents on your device and work without an account. CSV Editor is a focused Mac app for opening and editing CSV files locally. Search the whole table, filter individual columns, and sort values ascending or descending. A third click restores the original row order. Edit cells and column names, insert or delete rows and columns, paste tabular data, and undo or redo up to 100 edit groups. Save your changes or use Save As for a separate copy. CSV Editor streams records into a temporary editing session on your Mac and loads rows as you scroll. There is no fixed total file-size or row-count limit; practical capacity depends on your Mac and available storage. Values stay as text, including leading zeroes, Unicode, quoted commas, and embedded line breaks. Saving retains the detected delimiter, UTF-8 byte-order mark, LF or CRLF line endings, final-newline preference, and source headers, including blank or duplicate headers. No account is required. File processing works offline, and document contents are not uploaded. Production builds send limited diagnostics to Sentry and bounded app-start, successful open, save, and first-edit events to PostHog. Analytics use a random identifier for this app installation and a fresh session identifier per launch. They exclude file names, paths, headers, rows, cell values, and document contents. CSV Editor handles UTF-8 CSV-family text. It does not infer data types, calculate formulas, or provide Excel workbook features. Safety limits apply to individual operations: 1,000 rows per page or edit group, 2,000 columns per document, 8 MiB per decoded field, and 16 MiB per decoded record.
