Snapshots turns your iPhone into a retro instant camera and photo booth.
Inspired by the instant cameras we grew up with, every photo you take slides out of a little printer and develops in front of you. Strike three poses in the Booth for a photo strip, add a caption, write a memory on the back, then pin your favourites to a corkboard or decorate the fridge.
SHOOT
• Soft, tactile controls: a big shutter, a film-style dial and slide switches you can tap anywhere.
• Rear and front cameras, with a zoom step for every lens on the back and a wide view for selfies.
• Tap to focus. Press and hold to lock focus and exposure, then slide to brighten or darken.
• Flash: off, auto or on.
• Self-timer: 3 or 10 seconds.
PHOTO BOOTH MODE
• Set the timer to Booth, press the shutter once, and strike three poses on a countdown.
• All three print together as one tall snapshot.
• On the back camera, the flash blinks through each countdown so you know when to pose.
FIVE FILM STYLES
• Classic, Gold, Coast, Sepia and Mono, shown live in the viewfinder before you shoot.
PRINT
• Every shot prints as a framed instant photo with an even white border.
• Shake your phone and it finishes developing at once.
• Write a caption across the bottom in one of six fonts, from handwriting to typewriter.
• Turn the print over to write a memory on the back. It stays private and never goes out with a shared picture.
BOARDS (NEW)
• Pin your prints to a corkboard, or decorate a whole fridge: a retro fridge in seven colors, or modern stainless or black steel.
• Drag to move, pinch and twist to resize and rotate.
• Add stickers, emojis, tape and handwritten notes, plus your own stickers from Messages: photo stickers, Memoji and Genmoji.
• Save the finished board to Photos or share it with friends.
FOLDERS (NEW)
• Make a folder for a trip, a party or someone special.
• A print can be in as many folders as you like, and always stays in your gallery.
YOUR PRINTS
• Gallery, Boards and Folders, one tap or swipe apart.
• Swipe through your prints, share them or save them to Photos.
• Took it upside down? Turn the photo inside its frame.
• Turn your phone on its side to see your prints laid out like photos on a table.
CAMERA CONTROL
• On iPhones with Camera Control, press it to take a snapshot.
• Light press to choose a film style, zoom, set the self-timer or adjust exposure.
HOME SCREEN WIDGETS
• Prints: your snapshots on your Home Screen, with a different one on top every hour.
• Clock & Prints: the time beside your prints.
NIGHTSTAND CLOCK
• Turn your iPhone on its side while it charges and Snapshots becomes a bedside clock, with your prints shuffling past beside the time.
DESIGNED FOR IPHONE DUO
• Landscape, Seated, Portrait, Closed and Standing layouts, each made for the way you hold it.
• When in the seated pose, snap your photo and then unfold to print on the large display.
• Open it on its side when creating a board and your prints show on one side, the board/fridge on the other. Tap and drag them from the gallery onto your board.
• Star White and Night Sky themes, named after the finishes iPhone Duo comes in.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Your photos stay on your phone. No account, no ads, and nothing is sent anywhere.
I absolutely LOVE this app. I’m a big fan of Polaroid cameras and this brings the experience to iPhone which is pretty cool. It lets me stay in the moment and not take multiple pics of the same thing to find the “best” one. My favorite features are the Photo Booth 3x photo, it replicates being inside an actual Photo Booth at the mall or state fair. I also found a cool feature that if you turn the phone on its side, it shows you a gallery of all your pics. Love, love, love. I put the app in place of my native camera app!

Okay this is a FUN little app!! Straightforward and easy to use. The filters give you that classic Kodak / Polaroid vibe, but they’re extra crisp and clear. My toddler loves the way the phone vibrates when you snap a pic. We’re having a lot of fun with photobooth mode!!

What an amazing photo app to use with my new folding iPhone. I love the Polaroid and Photo Booth options. This app is far better than using the native Apple photo software. Totally worth the low price for this app. Go for it!
