Pair once with the code your TV shows, then steer, type and cast from your iPhone. The remote is free; Amote Pro adds Voice, Apple Watch, widgets and Siri. The TV remote is somewhere in the couch cushions again. Your iPhone isn't. Amote turns it into a remote for Android TV and Google TV, with a real keyboard and casting built in. No account, no sign-in. Pair once with the code your TV shows. After that, open the app and it finds your TV again. BIG BUTTONS, NO SQUINTING • A big D-pad with OK in the middle. Hold an arrow and it keeps going, so a long menu doesn't cost you fifty taps. • Prefer to swipe? Flip to the swipe pad in one tap: swipe to move, tap to select, two fingers for volume. • Power, input, volume, channels, playback and a number pad are there when you need them. • Your favorite apps sit right on the remote. Tap one and it opens on the TV. NO MORE LETTER-BY-LETTER SEARCHING Arrow, arrow, arrow, OK, just to spell one movie title. Now you type on your TV with your iPhone's keyboard and the words show up as you go. CAST TO YOUR TV Vacation photos look a lot better on the big screen. • Pick a photo or a video, or several for a slideshow or playlist. • Paste a video link, or tap "Open on TV" in the share sheet of another app. • The built-in browser finds the videos on a web page and lists them by size. • Real playback controls: play/pause, seek, skip and TV volume, plus a Live Activity on the Lock Screen while you cast. Casting uses the Chromecast built-in on your TV, so there is nothing to install on it. Keep Amote open while the TV plays photos or videos from your iPhone. Streaming services and other copy-protected video can't be cast; for those, the app offers to open the service's own app on your TV. AMOTE PRO (OPTIONAL) The remote itself is free: the D-pad, swipe pad, keys, keyboard, apps, casting and the browser never need a subscription. Amote Pro adds the features marked PRO in the app, such as: • Voice search: tap the mic and say the title • The Apple Watch app: D-pad, OK, Back, Home, volume, play/pause and power on your wrist • Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets • A Control Center play/pause button (iOS 18 and later) • Siri and Shortcuts: pause, mute, change the volume, open an app on the TV or switch TVs Subscribers also get a promise: never any ads with Pro. Choose weekly ($1.99), monthly ($3.99) or yearly ($9.99). Prices are in US dollars; your local price is shown in the app before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. A subscription renews automatically at the same price and period unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
