Meridune opens completed standard PHD2 guide logs on iPhone and iPad. Inspect the recorded RA and DEC displacement, keep your analysis choices and share a report with its unchanged source. One upfront purchase includes every tool.
READ THE ACTUAL LOG
Import a UTF-8 guide log from Files. Choose a guiding section and see its raw-distance trace or RA-versus-DEC scatter. Tap or scrub the trace to read an actual recorded frame. Source settings and INFO events remain available; event context follows the last row and is not assigned a precise timestamp.
CHOOSE WHAT TO INCLUDE
Set inclusive start and end times. Add up to 12 manual excluded intervals with reasons. Dropped, AO and error rows are retained but excluded from statistics. No automatic dither or settling removal occurs. Scale comes from the source header or your explicit override; absent scale stays in pixels.
COMPARE IN CONTEXT
See up to 3 same-unit sections with their saved windows and exclusions. Read RA RMS, DEC RMS, combined deviation and mean offsets. RMS here means population standard deviation about each axis mean; combined deviation is the root of summed axis variances. Different conditions, scales and sample ranges are not equivalent.
KEEP THE SOURCE AND YOUR WORK
Save 20 local source-backed projects with section windows, exclusions and notes. Reopen, rename, duplicate or delete a project. Restore the exported Project.json, including its original bytes and analysis settings. Production starts empty. An optional original synthetic field study teaches the tools; it is not a measured observing session.
SHARE REAL ANALYSIS
Export a multi-page PDF with each section's trace, scatter, statistics, notes, exclusions and settings; full parsed-row CSV with inclusion reasons; statistics CSV; trace and scatter PNGs; unchanged Original.txt; restorable Project.json; and a readme with the source SHA256. Share individual files or the complete ZIP through the native share sheet.
SUPPORTED SCOPE
• Standard completed PHD2 guide logs, UTF-8, up to 2 MiB, 20,000 rows and 8 guiding sections; up to 500 INFO events per section.
• Up to 20 local projects and 12 manual intervals per section. Project JSON import up to 4 MiB.
• At least two included successful Mount rows are required for statistics.
• No hardware connection, guiding control, calibration analysis, FFT, mechanical diagnosis or mount-setting recommendations.
• Modified ASIAIR logs, debug logs, calibration-only and unfinished logs are unsupported.
• PHD2 is an independent open-source product; Meridune is not affiliated with its developers.
• Back up important sources and Project.json separately. Deleting the app removes local work.
No subscription, in-app purchase, account, ads, tracking, analytics, cloud service or developer upload. Files leave your device only when you choose to share them.
