• New: worldwide Game Center leaderboards. Compete with every Hidden Pace runner for the best Legacy score of a finished career and the best rating of a single career — and, on a board of its own, the best Legacy score of a finished ekiden career. Only the years you play yourself count — not the seasons the coach ran before handing you the career. The Achievements screen shows your best scores and opens the boards. • Fixes: opening a box now keeps the reward reveal on screen, so you can clearly see the gear or Cash you received.

• Every season now opens with its own plan: choose the runner's discipline and distance, season goal and long-term dream before the first week begins. • Training-only weeks now close with a quick Training — Fitness — Recovery montage. • New careers now unfold across five clear steps — athlete, club, hidden talents, career opening and appearance — with an animated progress bar always in view and every choice reviewable before you start. • Ekiden relays are now run the way real ones are, by time: you take the tasuki at the place and gap your team reached the handoff and run your leg's real distance and climb — the 860 m mountain leg included — against the other teams' runners, so every runner you catch is a place for the team. Fall more than ten minutes behind the leader and the next runner sets off with the white tasuki; day two of the New Year Mountain Relay starts by the first day's gaps. Finish in the top ten to keep the seed, or win your place back in the autumn qualifier, where the team's ten best half-marathon times count. Rival teams have names, every result shows the final standings, seniors graduate and freshmen join each season, and a team podium finish puts the whole team on the podium with the cup — in a photo you can share. Season goals in a team follow the relays too: place on your own leg, a top-ten or a podium for the team — and a team podium now counts toward any podium goal. The coach's leg letter now shows exactly what your chosen preparation gave. • Fixes: the New career card now appears before saved careers on the Careers screen; when every slot is occupied, it clearly offers Career Pass and unlocks immediately after purchase.

• A new career is now set up step by step: tap the big New career card on the Careers screen (or start a new career from Settings), pick the club and your athlete — male or female, chosen by portrait — then the career start, hidden talents and start. Every scenario is on the Choose a start screen: tap one to buy it right there and it's picked as your start. The Hall of Fame is also in Settings under Career, and now shows every legend's portrait — open a career to see the athlete in full with their gear and browse their trophy cabinet. • The Comeback, Altitude School and Ultra Legend scenarios now tell a longer story: 25 new Inbox letters remember your earlier choices, your athlete's backstory, temperament and hidden talents, their best race and oldest rival. Each scenario also comes with its own exclusive app icon and two patches, plus 4–5 achievements — the last one unlocks a third patch. • The Store now opens with the Career Pass until you have it, then with Laurel packs. Masters Career now comes with an exclusive 40+ patch. • Fixes: answers to the ekiden coach's letters in the Inbox — leg preparation and "Got it" — now take effect on the first tap, and other cards and panels no longer lag a step behind after an action. The Ekiden Pack's 15 achievements now appear and unlock for pack owners. The Japanese translation is complete again: the whole app, the ekiden screens included, is back in Japanese. In other languages, Race Live's energy reserve no longer shows the ekiden word for a substitute runner, and the Mont Aurore lottery requirement is now translated. Buying the same Laurel pack again — including from the Store opened from an injury, a wildcard or a Cash shortfall — now always delivers the Laurels, and app icons in the Store and Locker load instantly.

• Better coaching for long races: after an ultra or marathon the coach no longer adds extra races until the athlete has recovered, keeps long main races at least eight weeks apart and stops bouncing between recovery and training weeks. A new season no longer starts with a recovery week for last season's final race, and off-season blocks now keep the fitness built during the season. The coach now tapers only for races you've entered: without an entry, a main race is run off normal training, and the coach reminds you to register right up to the week before. • The Ekiden Career Pack adds university and corporate team careers: your team enters every relay, the coach picks your leg two weeks out in the Inbox — earn his trust to move from support legs to the ace, mountain and anchor legs — then follow every handoff, chase the team title, graduate after four seasons and carry on as an individual athlete. Includes 15 achievements, an exclusive app icon and three exclusive patches. Scenarios bought from the New career screen are picked as your start right away, and your stories — ekiden first — now lead the start list. • Fixes: entering an ultra in advance now checks the mandatory kit and race fuel — buy what's missing right in the entry, or from the week plan in race week — so the Ultra-Trail du Mont Aurore no longer silently drops out of race week. Inbox news cards can now be dismissed.

• Race Live is now a broadcast: moving rivals with real gaps, mid-segment overtakes, visible decision costs, night ultras, dramatic finishes and course records. • Your athlete is a character, with traits, a backstory, their own voice, rivalries and hundreds of new athlete and coach lines. • Coach's questions reveal hidden talents, while three career scenarios, nine multi-season dreams and bolder season goals shape each career. • Cross country adds 13 races and free distance switching, alongside youth rankings, 12 career rivals, 24 coaches and a sports psychologist. • Keep racing after 40 as a masters athlete — or retire and preserve your legacy. • Personalize kits and headwear with collectible patches, including achievement exclusives and special Starter Pack and Career Pass designs. • 95 new achievements — 200 in all — cover iconic performances, careers, Legacy paths, training and weather. • Also: week and race debriefs, smarter planning, new looks from ages 16 to 80, a simpler Lab, richer sponsors, improved Store, Gear, Locker and calendar flows, and lots of fixes.
