RECORD AND TRANSCRIBE • Record with the microphone on iPhone or iPad, including while the screen is locked. • Follow a live transcript as the meeting happens. • Improve the transcript after a meeting and separate voices with numbered labels. • If transcription is unavailable, save the audio to listen again or try transcription later. SUMMARIES AND ORGANISATION • Create summaries, decisions and action items with available Apple Intelligence or an API provider you choose. • Find topics expressed in different words with local semantic search. • Read the original passage and open the transcript at its timestamp. • Organise meetings with categories and tags, replay audio, and share files. • Optionally sync meeting text, metadata and a compressed audio copy with iCloud for playback on your other devices; originals stay on the recording device. MADE FOR IN-PERSON MEETINGS SommoScribe uses the iPhone or iPad microphone and does not capture audio from calls on the same device. Voices are separated with numbered labels, not identified by name. Check suggested decisions and action items against the original transcript. AUDIO AND PRIVACY Original audio recordings stay on your device. Transcription and transcript enhancement run on device. Local AI summaries stay on device. If you choose OpenAI, Claude or Gemini, the transcript, title and description are sent directly to that provider using your API key. Keys are stored in Keychain and may sync through iCloud Keychain. iCloud sync is optional and includes meeting text, metadata and a compressed audio copy for playback on your other devices. The first transcript enhancement downloads voice models to your device: about 630 MB for Whisper, plus speaker-separation models. Optional feedback sends your rating, entered message and app, OS and language information to the developer; meeting files are not attached automatically. It is retained for 90 days. LOCAL SEARCH Keyword search is available immediately. Semantic search needs an initial download of about 252 MB; then it works offline, without Apple Intelligence. One-time purchase, with no subscription or in-app purchases. Optional API providers require your own key and may charge separately for usage. Some features require compatible hardware or operating systems. REQUIREMENTS Requires iOS 26 or later. Local summaries need supported and available Apple Intelligence; optional API providers need an Internet connection. Get participants’ consent before recording.
