Posita
GPS Coordinates & Emergency
$4.99
Your coordinates on your wrist and the right emergency number for where you are, even offline. One purchase for iPhone and Apple Watch, no subscription.
Posita turns your Apple Watch into a position instrument, on a boat or in the mountains. At a glance you see your coordinates, how accurate they are, your course and your speed. If you ever need to call for help, you read your position off your wrist while you talk, and Posita shows the right emergency number for the country you are in, even with no signal.
THE RIGHT NUMBER, EVEN OFFLINE
Your Apple Watch works out the country offline, or at sea the nearest coast within 200 km, and shows the right numbers: 921 emergency numbers in 231 countries and territories, each checked against its official source. Off Italy that is VHF channel 16 and 1530 for the Coast Guard; in Switzerland 112 and Rega 1414. Posita never dials by itself: you tap the number and read out your coordinates. It also explains MAYDAY, PAN-PAN, SÉCURITÉ and SOS.
YOUR POSITION, THE WAY YOU NEED IT
• Degrees and decimal minutes, as read out on VHF, or degrees-minutes-seconds and decimal degrees
• Accuracy in meters and how recent the fix is; if the signal drops, Posita keeps your last reliable position
• Heading (HDG) and course over ground (COG), clearly distinct; speed over ground (SOG) includes the current
• Precise altitude from the barometer (GPS when no barometric reading is available), with its margin
• The weather trend from your watch's barometer: improving, steady or worsening, with no network
SIX FACES, YOUR CHOICE
Notte, Carta, Mare, Nautical, Hi-Vis and Modular. Choose what each face shows, on the watch or from your iPhone.
IPHONE AND APPLE WATCH, ALWAYS IN STEP
• Set the face, complications and coordinate format on your iPhone: your watch follows, and the other way round
• Every trip on your iPhone: stop a trip on the watch and see its duration, battery use, time still or moving and its timeline
• Emergency one tap away: an Emergency button for Control Center, the Lock Screen and the Action button, an SOS complication for your watch face, and a Lock Screen widget with your last position and its time
A FRESH POSITION ON EVERY TRIP
Start a trip from the watch face and your position stays fresh even with your wrist down, until you stop it.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account, no tracking, no ads. Your precise position stays on your devices: for the weather, Apple only receives an approximate position, to about 1 km.
ONE PURCHASE
Buy once and get Posita for iPhone and Apple Watch, with no subscription. In English, Italian, German and French.
Requires Apple Watch with watchOS 11 or later and iPhone with iOS 18 or later. Position and emergency numbers work offline; only the weather needs a connection.
Posita helps you say where you are. It is not a substitute for a VHF radio, an EPIRB or 112.
