News PaNer — understand the world and keep your own pace.
Read short news briefs from Taiwan, the United States, Japan and Vietnam. Country selection determines the events; reading language is separate. Location does not automatically change the news country. Each current edition offers up to 40 published stories.
Browse black-and-white tiles under a fixed header with continuous scrolling. Headline tiles devote equal space to an illustration and title, with red highlights. Illustrations are labelled and are not scene photographs. Selected-country articles are cached locally and updated when connected; saved articles can be read in a continuous vertical flow. Your interests receive a turquoise border. Related links open the publisher's site inside a hand-drawn black reading frame with favorite and translation controls. Publisher access conditions still apply; the app does not bypass paywalls.
Supported iPhone and iPad devices use Apple's on-device translation. A language download may be needed, and support depends on the device and system. External-page translation uses readable text only. Machine translations may contain errors.
The star menu opens Favorites and Link History. Favorites and the latest 200 external links stay on this device, without cross-device sync; deleting the app may remove them. Add public headlines to a Home Screen widget and choose a daily reading reminder. The system manages widget and notification updates.
Choose a plan
Free: 2 countries, 1 interest, 5 favorites.
Monthly: 3 countries, 2 interests, 10 favorites.
Annual: 4 countries, 4 interests, 20 favorites.
Plans differ in country, interest and favorite allowances, not article counts. Prices appear in the App Store purchase sheet. Subscriptions renew automatically and can be managed, cancelled or restored.
Sign in with Apple, Google or Facebook. Each provider creates a separate membership; a purchase remains with its original member. Delete your membership from the account page. Deletion does not cancel an App Store subscription.
Apple Watch (watchOS 10+) displays headlines and articles, following the paired iPhone's country and language. Manage accounts, plans and preferences on iPhone. Watch displays existing translations or identifies original-language text; it does not perform on-device translation.
Optional usage statistics are off by default. When enabled, feature counts and country/language usage time are aggregated locally; a completed month's summary uploads on a later app opening. Reading links and article content are excluded.
