WhereIs gathers the files for each project onto a shelf, wherever they live on your Mac. The originals never move, and every shelf can have its own deadline and to-do list. ORGANIZE BY PROJECT, NOT BY FOLDER • Make a shelf for a client project, a quarterly review or a thesis, and drag in files from Finder, Downloads, Mail or iCloud Drive. • Shelves keep references. Your files stay where they are, and shelves follow them when you move or rename them. • Pin, sort, Quick Look, and search every shelf at once. • Tags, descriptions, highlights and virtual folders keep a busy shelf tidy. • Share › Add to Unassigned Shelf catches files from any app until you sort them. PLAN EVERY SHELF (WHEREIS PRO) • Give a shelf a start, a due time and reminders. A countdown beside its name changes color as the date nears. • Add a to-do list with notes, checklists, flags and due days. Checked-off to-dos move to the Logbook. • The sidebar shows each shelf's countdown, to-dos and tags at a glance. HAND IT TO AN AGENT (WHEREIS PRO) • Open a shelf in Claude Code or Codex, or connect the Claude app through MCP. Agents work with exactly that shelf's files and plan. • Files that agents create or edit carry the agent's badge. • Agents can organize shelves, add to-dos and set deadlines. Changes to original files wait for your approval, and every change can be undone. • Copy, move or ZIP a whole shelf, with undo shelf by shelf. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account and no WhereIs server. Your library stays on your Mac and in your own iCloud, and WhereIs never uploads the contents of your files. WhereIs includes no AI model. AI clients you connect are separate apps and may send what they read to their own services. FREE AND PRO Free: up to 3 shelves (including archived ones), 20 items per shelf and 2 virtual folders, with tags, search, sorting, iCloud sync and the Unassigned shelf. WhereIs Pro removes the limits and adds deadlines, to-do lists, whole-shelf copy, move and ZIP, and Claude Code, Codex and MCP. Choose a quarterly or yearly auto-renewable subscription, or a one-time Lifetime purchase; all three unlock the same features. Eligible new subscribers can try the quarterly or yearly plan free for 2 weeks. Prices and eligibility are shown before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled in your Apple Account settings at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Lifetime doesn't renew and doesn't cancel an existing subscription. If membership ends, nothing is deleted: free limits apply to new additions, and existing deadlines and to-dos still remind you and can be checked off.
