We read the whole article. You get sixty words and a photo. Swipe up, next one. The news is done in five minutes. Then a word game, as a treat. We read the whole article. You get sixty words, a photo, and the logo of whoever reported it. Swipe up for the next one. That is the whole app, more or less. The outlets are on the card. Tap a logo and their page opens. We read their reporting and write the sixty words. No opinions, Sixty words is not enough room for one. Pick your sections and those come first. Tell it where you live and your local paper comes first too. When you have read everything new, it says so, and the feed stops. There is a word game on the side. One true sentence from the news, once a day. Tap the five words that carry the story and press Guess. Blue is right word, right place. Orange is right word, wrong place. You get five goes. It takes about a minute, unless you are bad at it, in which case two. Play every day and the flame counts up. Miss a day and it goes out. You can buy a day off beforehand, or put the streak back within the week. Eighty-five stickers come with all this. Three days of reading gets you Fresh Ink. A year gets you The Masthead. Nobody has The Masthead. It is October. No ads, and no trackers. You do not need an account either. Sign in only if you want your streak on a second phone. If you want the account gone, it is Account, then Delete account, and it is gone within a day. Hard is the paid bit. A second, harder sentence every day, with its own streak and its own stickers. $2.99 a month or $29.99 a year, and the first Hard game is free. A day off is $0.99. A streak repair is $1.99. The archive of every past sentence is $8.99. Prices are in US dollars and the store shows them in yours. Hard renews until you cancel it in your phone's subscription settings.
