Games played by ear with VoiceOver: bowling, cards, dice, Metropolis, archery… Alone against bots or online with other players. Free.
AudioGameAccess is a platform of games played entirely by ear, made for blind and visually impaired people. Sounds guide you, and VoiceOver tells you everything else.
The games:
- archery, in three levels, and bowling;
- Feather Flight, a skill game;
- card games: Ninety-nine, Crazy Eights, Golf, President, a colour card game, and a car race played with cards;
- dice games: a five-dice game, with its combinations to fill, and Farkle;
- board games: Parcheesi and Camembert Culture, a general knowledge quiz;
- Four in a Row, a puzzle game: be the first to line up four tokens in an upright grid;
- hangman, Sea Battle and a word game on a grid of letters;
- One Word, a cooperative word game online, for 3 to 8 players: each one helps a player guess a mystery word, with a single word;
- Métropole, a city-building game where you are the mayor.
Every game has its own manual, in English, French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese.
On iPhone, two ways to play:
- with VoiceOver, the whole screen becomes the game: you play with gestures, without looking for buttons;
- without VoiceOver, real buttons, cards and dice to touch, in large text and high-contrast colours for visually impaired players.
Play with others: online, open a table, invite your friends or play against bots. Chat in writing and by voice, send private messages, keep a friends list and follow the leaderboards. A game can be saved and resumed later.
Offline, every game but One Word can be played alone or against bots, with no account.
To play online, create a free account with your email address. Other players never see it. You can block or report a player, and delete your account from the app.
3D sound on headphones places every sound around you.
I love the app but I'm facing one problem. When I'm on a game, it is hard to figure out who speaks what language and I think adding that as some sort of indicator beside someone's username would help a lot of people. I also would love to see more board games added in the future, like chess, checkers, and clue. Overall though, solid app with no major issues.

Thank you so much for your review! Showing each player's language next to their name is a great idea, and I've passed it on to the team. More board games are on our list too: Four in a Row is already there, and new games will come after the big update we're working on right now. Thanks for playing!Mathieu
An AWESOME collection of audio games!

I'm a totally blind iPhone user who uses Voiceover. I stumbled upon Audio Game Access while searching for blind accessible games in the Apple Games app. I LOVE EVERYTHING about the app! My ONLY suggestion is that for the offline games, PLEASE add the ability to pass one device back and forth between players! Let's face it: If you're on an airplane, and you're playing, say, 99, against a bunch of bots, your friend sitting in the seat next to you might say something like, "What game are you playing?" You'd say, "Ninety-nine." They'd say, "Can I join in on the fun?" With pass-and-play, they could! The user could type the name of each player, and the device could be passed back and forth between them! No Internet connection required, and you'd DEFINITELY encourage in-person competition between players! But other than that, GREAT APP! Looking forward to seeing what updates you will bring to it!

Thank you so much, Angela! We're thrilled you found us and enjoy the games. Pass-and-play is a great idea, and we've passed it on to the whole team. More games and updates are on the way. Have fun!
• An alert tells you when a new version of AudioGameAccess is on the App Store, with a button to update.
• 50 new, shorter notification sounds, each with its name in the Settings.
• Your turn no longer waits: tapping the screen again and again during the bots' turn no longer delays your turn, in the card games, the board game and bowling.
• Farkle: after your throw, you can play as soon as your dice start being said.
• Voice chat follows your account: each person's volume and the people you muted are with you on all your devices.
• Leaving the casino always asks a question, Yes or No, with No first: no more leaving by accident.
• Side by side: in archery and bowling, everyone at the table is on one line, and each keeps their side.
• Inviting a player to a full table says so at once.
• The colour card game, the sea battle and Camembert Culture: an announcement no longer cuts the one before.
