【One card per pattern】
Every pattern has its own grammar card:
• Connection: what form comes before the pattern
• When to use it: meaning and feel, with the limits spelled out
• Example sentences: 1–3 per pattern, with a scene illustration and Japanese audio
• ○ / × contrast: a mistake learners really make, the correction and why
• Similar expressions: up to three, each with one line on how it differs
• Logic diagram: see the structure of the pattern at a glance

Each pattern is marked “Tested N times since 2010”, based on grammar statistics from past exam questions. It is a count of what has already happened, not a prediction. Patterns without data show “No data”.

【Explanations for every mistake】
When you get one wrong, the app shows where it went wrong, the clue in the question and the correct answer, with the full sentence, its translation and audio. Expand to see why each choice is right or wrong; correct answers have explanations too. Missed questions go to your Mistakes list and come back on a spaced-review schedule, so you can redo them.
【Look-alike or mean-alike? Compare side by side】
Confusable patterns are grouped two ways: similar in form (such as ばかり and たばかり) and similar in meaning (such as わけがない and はずがない). Each group has a side-by-side table, example sentences that differ in just one spot, a one-line summary of the difference and comparison questions. A group appears once you have learned and reviewed its patterns.
【Learn by listening】
Choose Japanese + translation or Japanese only, and switch translation languages whenever you like. Japanese audio and Traditional Chinese translation audio are included. Translation audio for other languages is prepared automatically in the background. Once ready, listening can continue without restarting. Background playback, speed controls and a sleep timer are supported. Some examples may not have translation audio.
