No extra hardware: your iPhone's microphone picks up your shots. Random start beep, splits, par time and a saved history of every run, ready for your next range day. ShotTimer turns your iPhone into a shot timer. The microphone picks up your shots and times them, so there is nothing extra to buy, charge or carry to the range. HOW A RUN WORKS • Tap START. An optional Make Ready phase gives you time to holster and get set. • After a random delay, the start beep sounds. • ShotTimer times every shot it detects: your first shot from the beep, each split to the shot before, and the total. • Tap anywhere on the screen to stop, or let a par time end the run with a second beep. BUILT FOR THE RANGE • The whole screen changes color with each phase, so you can read it from a distance. • A large seven-segment readout, in portrait and landscape. • Adjustable sensitivity with a live microphone test, to tune detection to your gun and venue. • Adjustable random delay, beep length and pitch, so the beep gets through hearing protection. • The screen stays on during a run. HISTORY Every run is saved with its splits. Add the gun, caliber, location and discipline, and see how your times develop. DRY FIRE The random start beep and the par beep work as a drill timer for dry-fire practice. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Shots are detected on your iPhone as they happen. No audio is recorded and nothing leaves your phone. There is no account to create, and the app shows no ads and does no tracking. GOOD TO KNOW ShotTimer is a practice aid, not a certified competition timer. Its accuracy depends on your phone's microphone and speaker. On a busy range, shots from neighboring bays can register too, so it works best when your shots are the loudest nearby. Dry-fire trigger clicks are usually too quiet to detect. ShotTimer is made for practical shooting practice, such as IPSC, USPSA and IDPA drills.
