iPhone
Open iPhone Duo top to bottom: a first-person labyrinth above, a grid map below that fills in as you walk. Past Stratum I, the floors never end.
A two-screen dungeon crawler: step through a first-person labyrinth on the upper screen while the grid map on the lower screen fills in as you walk.
Past the hand-built first stratum, the labyrinth goes on without end, every floor a new shape.
■ Delve above. Map and controls below.
Open iPhone Duo top to bottom and the upper screen becomes the labyrinth, the lower your map and controls.
You only look at the top — everything you touch is on the bottom.
Closed on the cover screen, or on any iPhone: it all works.
■ The map draws itself
Walls, doors, stairs, chests, springs and barred doors you see are drawn on the map automatically.
Double-tap a spot on the map to walk there over squares you've visited.
Roaming "lords" move one step at a time across your map. Read their moves and slip past.
■ Close to camp. Close to copy.
Close the phone inside the labyrinth and the cover screen becomes a campfire.
Close and reopen in front of an ancient tablet, and its pattern presses onto your map — revealing a hidden door.
■ Your map is your pay — and your pride
File your maps at the Surveyors' Guild and get paid for how much you've explored.
Explore every square for a gold seal. Even a party wipe never erases your maps.
■ Turn-based battles with a party of four
Choose four of five classes: Blade, Warden, Archer, Arcanist and Herbalist.
Repeat, Auto and Fast keep battles brisk.
When the Danger meter under the move pad fills, monsters appear.
■ Stratum I: the Vine Forest — and the endless depths below
Three hand-built floors and the warden at the bottom. Defeat it and the stairs lead further down.
From B4F on, every floor is a new maze, without end. The deeper you go, the tougher the foes and the richer the chests. A lord haunts every third floor, a warden every ninth.
