Ham Radio IQ answers one question: which band is open right now, from where you are, and why. BEST BAND NOW The band, frequency and mode to use right now for your license class - Technician, General or Extra - and about how long it stays good. ALL 13 BANDS, 160m TO 70cm Our forecast for every band, side by side with what is actually being heard: real WSPR contacts received near you in the last 30 minutes. LIVE SPACE WEATHER FROM NOAA Solar flux, K-index, sunspots and X-ray flares from the NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center, plus the MUF and LUF - the two walls that decide which bands work. LIVE CONTACT MAP Every line is a real transmission that was really heard. Flat map or globe, with the night side shaded. THE PHYSICS, IN PLAIN ENGLISH Tap any band to see why it is open or closed, when it works best, and exactly which frequencies your license class may use under 47 CFR 97.301 - including the February 2026 changes on 60 meters. GREY LINE AND SUN TIMES Local and UTC clocks, sunrise, sunset, and a countdown to the next grey line. ON-SCREEN ALERTS While the app is open it watches the bands you can use and tells you when something changes - like 10 meters opening to a new part of the world. YOUR LOG Every contact is stamped with the band, hour, solar flux and K-index. After 15 contacts it starts telling you what actually works from your station. Export to ADIF for LoTW, QRZ or eQSL. WORKS OFFLINE No signal? The app keeps the last NOAA reading it saved and tells you plainly how old it is. Clocks, sun times and band plans need no connection at all. HONEST BY DESIGN A saved number is never shown as live. The forecast is a simplified model of the ionosphere, not VOACAP. You are responsible for your own operating; the app does not verify a license. Made in Honobia, Oklahoma by WildBone Outdoors LLC.

A new look, and the IQ formula. - New app icon. - New colors: black and green, matching the rest of the WildBone IQ apps. The band colors (open, fair, closed) are unchanged. - The IQ formula, near the bottom of the page: DATA tells us what is, MATH how it fits together, PHYSICS why it happens - and IQ tells you what to do with it, and when.
