Draw straight into the app already open on your computer. Apple Pencil brings pressure and tilt, and the iPad holds the canvas. ilopad makes an iPad with Apple Pencil a drawing tablet for a Mac, Windows or Linux computer. The app also has a touchpad, a gamepad and a motion pointer, on iPad and on iPhone. A free server application runs on the computer. PENCIL - The iPad shows the computer's screen. You draw with Apple Pencil into the application that is open on the computer. - Each stroke carries pressure and tilt. - You can set the pressure curve. - You can assign an action to squeeze and to double tap. OVERLAYS You can pin up to seven areas of the computer's screen above the canvas, for example a color picker or a layer list. Each overlay stays live. You can move, resize and rotate it. SHORTCUTS ilopad detects the application in front on the computer and shows its shortcuts in a sidebar beside the canvas. It includes profiles for 49 drawing, design, 3D and note applications. You can also make your own buttons. A button sends a sequence of key presses, and it can have several stages. You save each set of buttons for one application. OTHER MODES - Touchpad: move the cursor, tap to click, scroll with two fingers and swipe with three. - Gamepad: two analog sticks, buttons and triggers. You can move and resize each control. Windows and Linux only. - Pointer: turn the device to move the cursor. CONNECTION - Install ilopad server on the computer, then scan the QR code that it shows to pair. - The app connects over your local Wi-Fi network or through a USB cable. - The connection is encrypted and stays on your local network. PRIVACY No account, no sign-in, no cloud service, no ads, no tracking and no analytics. SERVER The server is free. It runs on macOS (Apple silicon and Intel), Windows 10 and 11, and Linux (Wayland and X11). On Linux, a package repository supports ten distributions and updates the server with the rest of the system. PRICE Try for free for 7 days.
