A soft bell at random moments in your day, each with a phrase of loving-kindness.
Mettabell rings a soft bell a few times a day, at random moments between the hours you choose. Each bell carries one short phrase of loving-kindness. Stop for one breath, then carry on.
Bells ring even when the app is closed and your iPhone is locked. With the ring switch on silent, they vibrate instead.
• Up to six bells a day, at least 30, 45, 60 or 90 minutes apart, on the days of the week you pick
• Phrases for yourself and the people you love, wishes for everyone, and short reminders to come back to the present
• A set for people you find difficult, off until you turn it on
• "I paused" and "Quiet for today" buttons right on the notification
• A sitting timer you can pause, with a bell at the start and a bell at the end
• Uposatha days on the Thai Forest calendar or the six fast days of each lunar month, marked on Today and in your log, with the eight precepts for each day
• A month calendar that shows which days you sat and for how long. It doesn't count streaks.
Mettabell Plus adds four more things, if you want them.
• A reminder for each observance day, the evening before or that morning
• Phrases of your own, such as a wish for someone by name
• Up to eight bells a day
• Interval bells while you sit
Plus comes as a yearly or monthly subscription, or as a single purchase. The yearly plan starts with a trial week for new subscribers. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the period, and you can manage or cancel them in your Apple Account settings.
Everything stays on your iPhone. There is no account to create.
