Sunwake: Sunrise Alarm Clock
Gentle Wake Up Light, Sunset
Only for iPhone
Expected Oct 25, 2026 · Free · In‑App Purchases
iPhone
Pre-order now, out October 25. A sunset in the evening, a gentle sunrise before your alarm, every alarm with its own world. The Sea world is free.
Sunwake turns your iPhone into a sunrise alarm clock. Before your alarm, the sun slowly rises in an illustrated world and the screen keeps getting brighter.
In the evening a sunset fades slowly to black, and the screen stays dark all night.
Free with the Sea world. Sunwake Pro adds more worlds and the real sky, as a subscription or Lifetime.
HOW IT WORKS
• Set up your alarms as usual: time, weekdays and label. Each alarm has its own world, its own sunset (off, 10, 20 or 30 minutes) and its own sunrise (10, 20 or 30 minutes).
• Alarms that are on always ring, even without “Good night”.
• In the evening, stand your iPhone sideways on the charger next to your bed and tap “Good night”. This starts sunset, night and sunrise for your next alarm within the next 24 hours.
• At night you see stars, now and then a shooting star, the moon and a faint red clock in retro LED style.
• At your wake time the screen reaches full brightness and your alarm rings, even if the app was closed during the night.
• Want to see it first? “Preview (20 s)” shows a whole night in 20 seconds, “Test with alarm (2 min)” plays a night with its alarm in 2 minutes.
FREE
• Several alarms with weekdays and 11 alarm tones, including Ocean Waves, Dawn Chorus and Music Box
• Sunset, starry night with the real moon phase, and sunrise
• The Sea world with dolphins and birds in the morning
• The preview shows every world of the day, Pro worlds too
• On Christmas Eve a reindeer sleigh crosses the sky in every world, with soft snow
SUNWAKE PRO
• All worlds: Dunes with a camel caravan, Mountains with snowy peaks and a grazing deer, New York by the river, where the windows light up in the evening, and Northern Lights, a fjord with a green aurora in the evening sky and a moose in the morning. If new worlds are added, they are included at no extra cost.
• Event worlds in their season: Halloween from October 24 to November 1, Christmas with a reindeer sleigh from December 1 to 26, and Snowy Hill from December to February. On October 31 Halloween is free for everyone, on December 24 Christmas.
• Real sky: rain, snow, clouds and fog in your morning scene, matching the weather where you live or in a city you choose. The moon rises and sets there at its real times, and Mountains and Sea follow the season.
• The weather only changes the scene, never the screen brightness.
SUBSCRIPTION OR LIFETIME
Sunwake Pro comes as a yearly subscription with a 7-day free trial, a quarterly subscription or a one-time Lifetime purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or after the 7 days for the yearly plan with a trial. Subscriptions renew automatically, including after the free trial, unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel them in your Apple Account settings. Without Pro, the real sky and every world except Sea are locked, and your alarms carry on with Sea.
PRIVACY
No account, no ads, no tracking. For the real sky, Sunwake uses your approximate location or a city you choose, only for the weather, moon times and season in the scene. Without either, the sky stays clear and your alarms still ring.
GOOD TO KNOW
• Keep Sunwake open at night and don't lock your iPhone. iOS doesn't let apps turn the screen on by themselves, so this is the only way Sunwake can brighten it in the morning. Your alarms ring either way.
• Keep your iPhone on the charger all night.
• Requires iOS 26.1 or later.
